rock n (still) rolling
a couple of things in mind, from day-to-day (wait, i kinda suffer from dory's 3 seconds memory that only allow me to recall things up to 3 days backward at this hours, nevermind, at least it's a version better than dory's seconds counting) stuffs to idol, time to 'organise' my thoughts a bit (read: vent my anger) .
joined the rpc's service on sunday @ 10 am for their series on 'decoding the da vince code', still two more series to go. they're giving the cd out of charge as talks are recoded, for those interested, but with notice given. as i talked to a couple of ipc'ers before and after the service, most are aware of the popularity of the book itself (how interesting! the twisted always seems to turn out to be more popular than truth itself! and in fact, it's a best-seller for almost a year in australian public!). i'm personally aware that it's out there as a book, sold even at christian's bookstore, yet nothing much was known to me that it's so misleading until yesterday (since i never read it previously). a person did buy the book, out of curiosity, and i'm certain that she is aware of it being misleading, and a couple are aware of the interesting yet crooked facts and false claims made by the book. essentially, it's an insult toward the Scripture as whole, and most importantly toward the God-person Jesus Himself (i.e pointing to His death and resurrection), which is at the heart of christianity. 2 claims were discussed yesterday, that the Bible is a 4th century creation of constantine and Jesus wasn't really divine but was made so by the church.
still about the service, it's so much comforting to see sue as she was telling the kids to believe in Bible's truth (thus read it) than read harry potter using the cereals illustration (?!?) (choosing between weeties and milo, hmn, milo is so much appealing off course, even to me, yet uncle tobys' weeties proves a better choice for your health =) at the beginning of the service, where the kids were told to sit at the floor close to the stage as she was teaching them.
fish bbq at the tukiady's siblings afterward, a new set of people for me joining hatta's bs group, [to be continued.. whether published or not], the story is unfinished, not the bbq, but the people, not the funs, but the dealing, not what's seen as outcomes or quick fixes, but a process, another chapter of life, i guess (a part of it, at least).
trying to do better at my reading skill, it's been sucked, truly! didn't work out, feeling sleepy after a while of reading when commuting, concentration's not at peak during cooling down period for system's shutdown over the bed at home. feel like reading, yet sleeping is so much a trend in my agenda nowadays. a couple of books in particular that am interested in finishing, i hope the passion carries on. am just amazed at the reading speeds of two people that i know (yeah, they are bookworms, who can beat! and who wants to be ugly worm anyway! =).
works have been going quite normal, enjoying and learning things. yet, there's no such thing as pressure-free zone in work (or life, unless perhaps you r the super-talented alicia keys who feels no pressure at all), but as they come along the way, taking them on board by bits is perhaps the antidote to prevent no growing at all as a person, at least that's how i'd like to see it through my glasses. a right dosis is no harm at all, God's grace is sufficient, and i'm thankful that it is.
chanel ended her idol journey just tonite (hiks), performance-wise, she has always been doing a good job as an attention grabber, witty, people person, take-it-light-and-enjoy-most type of personality. no cynical, but how deceiving appearance can be sometimes, especially when judgements are made by sinful human beings that're lacking in true wisdom, full of potentiality to show partiality toward some, leaving behind values that matter more than just outward camouflage that are pleasing toward eyes.
hang on, didn't i say that i'd like to 'organise' my thoughts? ah, this dory's syndrome is hardly diagnosed properly for a cure.. (this time for better reasons).
p.s. did i create a heart attack toward people as they read thru, thinking that they might be the targets? =)
